So far this weekend, with recap Burnt and beat out the old leaf spring rear eye bushings, installed new ones, along with new OEM shackles into the DIY Shackle relocation brackets. Installed and gravity bled the front brake hoses with 1995 YJ hoses, and just now I replaced the noise inducing, zero damping steering stabilizer with a new RE unit.

Just came it to get the torque specs for the stabilizer and it it time to do a real brake bleed and take it for a test drive. I know I will need to drop and trim my brackets a bit, but I want to see how much I need to trim before I do that. Nothing i hate more than guessing wrong and having to do everything all over again, or worse yet, cut too much off and have to make new ones

I also did the JKS discos on Wednesday so hopefully the brake bleed goes well and I can post a flexed out picture later today

Put a little bedliner on the bumper today. Hoping to replace the headliner tomorrow, leaf springs and coil spacers on Tuesday.

After all my work on the suspension I took it for a little test drive.

This is the spot I had to carry momentum to get through on the 90° shackles and front sway bar connected. It is a series of mounds that make a good articulation test. I went through it with ease today and it was sloppy leading into it. This is the second run through the section, first time I was through before I knew it. Second time I stopped to take the pictures. I need to trim the back corners of my relocation brackets a bit to clear the lower shackle bolts and really let the back wheels tuck in.

Yes my tires are hard, I pumped them up to 40 psi just to try make it a worse case example. I think next time I will set up a couple of cameras to record the action

I finished up the upgrade to grand cherokee tie rod and draglink setup with

new ball joints and reinstalled new stabilizer.

The tie rod, draglink and, ends are much more stoudt than the stock XJ`s.

When I took it for a test drive, Oddly the steering doesnt feel much stiffer

than it did before.

Maybe I need to tighten up the box?

The ZJ upgrade will prevent the tie rod from bending when it sees the added force of large tires and offroad use. It isn't really something you'll feel when you're driving. It's a situation where you never really know if it helped, but you can be more confident in its strength

I gotcha
I figured the new ball joints and stabilizer would stiffen up the steering, I guess they did a bit. Before, I could literally take one finger and turn all the way left or right. I guess that could be a good thing or bad, LOL.

Got the parts WJ yesterday. Pulled the front 10-way power leather seats today. Turns out the brackets aren't anywhere near swappable with the brackets for my sport seats. Guess I'll be having a custom bracket made up to fit them in the XJ. Plans are to take the power steering pump, brake booster and master cylinder, and knuckles off the WJ still.

Tried to replace my upper control arm bushings on my passenger side. My old one fell out and the new one isn't tight in the bracket so time to cut and weld new brackets

Sat. I started to replace my RMS for the second time cause it still leaked and when I took the oil pan off I found this

What did you do to your Cherokee today?-oilpangas.jpeg

Part of the oil pan gasket that went under the rear bearing cap folded over during the first install and was pinched off and stuck to the inside of the block. So I took the new rms back and got a new oil pan gasket and so far leak free. Glory to GOD.
Sunday I drove $inkhole around without having to smell burning oil off the exhaust.
