Put good used door checks on the 87 MJ. Had to cut a piece out of a spare door to reinforce the driver side.

I was gonna do that idea too but I heard to many people say that they get kicked around and broken right there, and with the way I drive, I think they would to.

Default What did you do to your cherokee today?

The cherokee got a new friend yesterday. After 2 years of lookin on Craigslist I finally found the perfect one.
It's a 1992 with the 4.0 and a 5 speed and WAY nicer than my cherokee haha.
As of right now the plan is to make it as clean as possible, fix any and all rust (there's hardly any at all) then dd it through the spring, summer and fall and put it away for the winters.

Stripped the heads off three different bolts trying to pull a good front shaft off different Cherokees at the boneyard. Finally found one that was soaked in atf which is probably the only reason I got it out. Put new ujoint in and got her installed. Finally have 4wd back. Also popped a paper filter in the airbox so I can wash the spectre drop in. Few more things I want to look at before the first Jeep event of fall.

Well that is a risk I'll have to take lol maybe I'll fab up some custom guards for them. Gonna have to redo the bedliner on the kick panels because I was impatient and installed them before it cured fully :/ oh well, I like them there and I swear I actually get better sound from them now lol

Cruised around doorless for a bit today, first time in a while...good times. Then came home and put 'em back on, looks like rain. Gotta say, I love the doorless mod, 2 minutes and they're off or on.

Thanks! I'm on the fence on if I want to go black with the grill and flares or repaint them white. They were black originally and the po painted them, now they are cracking and look like hell
