A very good question indeed.... I'm fully convinced there was a wire gremlin hidden near the harness on the steering column somewhere.... because literally all I did was take down the lower dash and inspect the wires. Turned on the headlights and the low-beams worked. I took the harness off and cleaned up some of the 22 year old electrical grease and put it all back together. I anticipate it crapping out on me again soon. Hopefully not before I can afford a new harness.
^^^See there.... stupid gremlins are common this time of year.
Kinda going through the same thing with my roof lights. At first I thought my relay had crapped out.... but I can still hear it clicking away when I turn the switch on... then I thought it was the ground.... nope..... fun fun fun
started chasing a weird electrical gremlin, im stumped so far.
some how my LED pods and light bar are interacting with my volvo fan circuit in a way that is disabling the light bar, disabling the fan circuit but tuning on my high/low led indicators. and turning the pods on at 25% capacity

Time for deduction and elimination.
Are the LED's wired through a relay or direct through a switch?
Those systems should operate independently and have their own wiring, so what do they share..
1) share common ground (chassis)
2) share power from battery.
3) do they share any wiring harness, power wires?
It is possible that power is being back-fed through a ground or through a switch-wire (power for switch illumination).
What was the last accessory installed before this happened? Have you tried disconnecting it? This may be the best test, one at a time disconnect an accessory or wire to narrow down the issue.

theyre powered from different points, power to the fan is ran from the PDC power to the leds are at the battery
power to the switches are from 2 different sources as well
as of right now ive disconected power to the LED relays and the issue has seemed to stop for now

The Jeep is back on the repair list and it hasn't even moved 50 feet
It ran OK before I changed the transmission, but now it is throwing MILs P0320, P1694, and P1391. All things point towards me screwing up the CSP
Then to top it off during that short move in the driveway the power steering line popped, or at least I hope it was the line, it does look pretty rusted
The ground strap has disintegrated too. All in total I am looking in about $200 in new parts after taxes and more dicking around under the hood, putting me back another two weeks when I have the cash for the safety, plates, and alignment

usually something gets lodged in the tire, then gets ejected at speed causing the tire to rapidly deflate and tear itself apart from the heat

Got my autopal housings today. Went and picked up some silverstars, but they were the same wattage as the bulbs that came with the autopals. I'll do the ones I have first and I I don't like em ill throw in the silverstars.
Now I just need to spend an hour or two and put in the new harness (lmc) and the lights.
