well this weekend I:

replaced my door speakers (only ones in the damned thing)
putco headlight harness
replaced broken fan shroud
hatch shocks
all brake light bulbs replaced

in the last 2 months:

sylvania xtra vision headlights
repeated drain and fill of trans
oil change(s)
rear dif fluid
valve cover gasket
plugs wires cap rotor
air filter
painted trim bumpers grill wheels
new center caps
alternator
battery
serp belt
balanced rotated tires
new floormats

looking at all shocks (inc steering) to replace
front dif fluid
drop trans pan for filter and gasket
drop oil pan for pump pickup and gasket

gotta love a jeep to make it right I suppose

edit: I must mention I bought it in mid december. 130k miles state owned. 100% stock.

Cleaned my throttle body, the inside was caked with gunk. While I was at it I took out my mass airflow sensor.. That was dirty as hell too including the chamber it was in. Now she feels a little more responsive! then climbed a dirt mound I saw off the side of the road lol

10cent high idle mod while playing with my new power 410watt inverter. Trying to find a place inside the cab to mount it and wire it to the Battery.

I love mud, but I hate road grit, and the XJ was covered in it..
I don't have my back seat in, so plenty of storage. Also running bar doors and installing a lunch box so the louder the better.

The dealership's o-ring kit was an exact fit. The o-rings I had gotten from Rock Auto were 2 out of 3 correct size.
As I was dipping the larger of the internal o-rings into a bottle of oil, I thought it would suck if it slipped out of my fingers into the bottle. Then it totally did. I dumped it into a pan and then re-bottled it. I only lost a couple of ounces. All in all, it went smoothly and my oil filter is no longer dripping onto my transmission lines and starter.

I deleted mine, running a smaller filter with close to the same rating.
