I pulled the front axle out of my parts jeep. Finally have everything pulled off that I need to convert to 4wd. Next couple weekends will be busy. Wish I had more time but its all going in the daily.

The hole in the hood is set far back enough from the opening so rain can't get in, and the lip of the pan is tall enough to divert runoff. Rained here pretty good the other night, and no water in the engine bay.
I'm planning on getting some sort of plug for them in case of torrential downpours, but for now I'm not worried

Not today but yesterday got it all shiny for prom. Took it through the car wash twice and we didn't get to walk in until it was dark so no one got to see it -_-

Mounted my $17 Wal-mart fire extinguisher. Holds pretty good, but unfortunately I found some wicked rust underneath on the quarter panel where the rear bumper cap is. Not sure what I'm going to do about that one. Sorry didn't get a pic, had my really crappy cell phone camera.

Finally had a new windscreen fitted after driving it for 5 weeks with a massive crack and no rear view mirror.
Jumped in to drive it and saw a big scratch in my field of view
Told the fitter, he said - yeah I saw that, was hoping you wouldn't notice. Duuuuh
So another new one will be fitted on Thursday.
At $350 it should be perfect.
Oh and gonna get stuck into it today and fix the no key start issue

Messed with my 86 today. Passenger door wasn't opening so I took the handle off inside. The locking rod wasn't even connected and it was locked so I unlocked it and pulled the door release rod and it opened right up. Well I closed it and tried opening from the outside but it didn't work. Took off the cap inside the door jam that allows you to see the working handle. Everything was working and connected from what I seen. As much as I could get done in a few minutes of messing with it today. Will investigate some more tomorrow.
