I wonder if venting the cowl into the engine bay would give the same affect?

His little drain is on that side for a reason. An open hole between cowl and engine means you get all the engine bay fumes through your HVAC

Your comanche looks just like mine but better condition, I'm jealous.

Parked the mj (out of gas), xj didn't want to start without draining the battery first. Filled her up and had to push my smart *** buddy's xj forward to get mine out of where I parked it. My xj got dirty sitting in my drive way. Had to clean the windows so from the inside it looks clean.

Speaking of Comanches, I just filled mine up. 14.2 mpg on that tank. I'm moving in the right direction since I've been averaging 11-point-something mpg since I started calculating last month. Should get a lot better when I install a functioning MAT/IAT sensor. I'm running in open loop right now.

After fill up, I cruised around the back roads for two hours.

Took the spare 31" tire off and put the brand new "replacement" Falken 32" back on.

damn. automatic 4.0 gets that bad mpg? I mean, even if it were tip-top, what do you get 18-20? still, its a pioneer. thats really cool.

I've heard 23mpg on CC if everything is working. I'm shooting for 18 since I've removed some stuff from my engine bay.
