Fixed my gas tank straps, hope the tank doesn't fall out again lol
Did some mild wheeling, figured out what I'm gonna have to beat with a bfh, and what I'll have to trim. Probably gonna have to trim more once I swap these new tires over to my 15x8's.
And sold the stock steel wheels that are on mine now, and sold the 235/75-15 Treadwrights. Once I sell my factory aluminum wheels, I'll take that money and buy the set of 33x12.5-15 Swamper TSL Radials on American Racing wheels my boss has, and use them for wheeling, and use the BFGs on the street.

Gotta come up with something to increase my downtravel up front too, the factory LCAs are limiting the droop, and I can't afford long arms right now. Any ideas on that? I'm kinda liking the look of the fixed LCAs that came with my roommate's 4.5" RC kit, I think those would do what I want without breaking the bank.

Iron Rock Offroad LCAs with bend. You can also notch the shock mount for more droop.

HI, Drop Brackets would improve your droop a great deal. Rough Country or Rubicon Express.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd prefer to avoid drop brackets. I bash my LCA mounts on enough rocks already, don't need anything hanging down farther.

We tried to install the new front axle last night - failed. I couldn't get an accurate angle reading from the knuckles or C's or anything for Caster angle. Before I started welding any brackets and spring perches on the front axle, I wanted to make absolutely sure the angle was set properly.

So we spent far too much time building a jig to datum off the Ball Joints to get a super accurate and repeatible reading for caster angle. Hopefully tonight we start welding all the things we didn't do last night. Looks like with five degress positve Caster, my Pinion will be two degrees above horizontal. I would have like a little more than tha, but I guess it is what it is.

Drove the xj 40 miles, last 8 miles in traffic with it idling around 1,500 which was lots of fun.
