What did you do to your Cherokee today?
well this weekend I:
replaced my door speakers (only ones in the damned thing)
putco headlight harness
replaced broken fan shroud
hatch shocks
all brake light bulbs replaced
in the last 2 months:
sylvania xtra vision headlights
repeated drain and fill of trans
oil change(s)
rear dif fluid
valve cover gasket
plugs wires cap rotor
air filter
painted trim bumpers grill wheels
new center caps
alternator
battery
serp belt
balanced rotated tires
new floormats
looking at all shocks (inc steering) to replace
front dif fluid
drop trans pan for filter and gasket
drop oil pan for pump pickup and gasket
gotta love a jeep to make it right I suppose

Cleaned my throttle body, the inside was caked with gunk. While I was at it I took out my mass airflow sensor.. That was dirty as hell too including the chamber it was in. Now she feels a little more responsive!
then climbed a dirt mound I saw off the side of the road lol

10cent high idle mod while playing with my new power 410watt inverter. Trying to find a place inside the cab to mount it and wire it to the Battery.

All you guys and your 12's and mad wattage.. I "downgraded" my stereo from my two clarion SVC 10's to my one alpine DVC s-type 10". Left my 250rms amp in.. Went from taking up about 1/2 my cargo space to 1/5th of it. Had to rearrange the gear afterwards but worth it. And it still bumps when I turn it up. That and washed it. Yeah, that's right.. I love mud, but I hate road grit, and the XJ was covered in it..

Got that oil filter adapter leak fixed! Used a 30" pipe taped onto my wrench/T-60 bit/zip tie custom jobbie. It took forever to get this unwieldly tool onto the bolt, but it gave easily with the leverage it afforded me.
The dealership's o-ring kit was an exact fit. The o-rings I had gotten from Rock Auto were 2 out of 3 correct size.
As I was dipping the larger of the internal o-rings into a bottle of oil, I thought it would suck if it slipped out of my fingers into the bottle. Then it totally did. I dumped it into a pan and then re-bottled it. I only lost a couple of ounces. All in all, it went smoothly and my oil filter is no longer dripping onto my transmission lines and starter.
