Did a roadside fab when the little plastic thingy that attaches the throttle cable to the pedal broke this morning.

Bought some royal purple powersteering fluid, brake clean, putty knife, 32mm socket, and rebuild kit. Rented the tool and let it sit with tension overnight on the pitman arm. Came right off this morning and I renturned the tool because it was so stripped where the crescent wrench goes. Then rented a better one from Vatozone that I will be able to use the impact on!

Getting ready to start tearing the box apart since there's no work because of snow....but hey the powder coater will be done today so I will be able to pick that stuff up!

Still looking out for an upgrade C8.25 or D44 to swap out my D35. Sometimes I wish I lived where some of you guys are. I'm still looking at $400-$600 rears in Craigslist!

How heavy are those things and can you fit it in the back of an XJ? Just wanna know now so I know how to transport it once I find one or talk someone down in price. Thanks.

yea you can totally fit one in the back - they weigh about 150#

just pull one from another XJ - shouldn't be more than $200 - look for a "part out"

[QUOTE=Kyle 4x4 4life;2173055]Haha ya hard to have more ground clearance when the tires are the same height...Some people just dont understand

Will surely post pics when she gets the lift...and i cut and folded the rear about and inch and a half, and the front was trimmed about an inch or two(not positive the front was trimmed when i got the jeep).[/QUO

Yes the diff's have the same ground clearance but with his higher lift his rockers and crossmember is higher maybe thats what he meant.

Ewwwwww be prepared to replace your wiper motor. Dual wipers are horrible on your wiper assembly. Plus the look dumb IMO.
