Almost crashed into another car... I didn't realize they were going to stop and then they did. I ended up coming to a stop inches from them, I'm soo glad I didn't make contact!!

Helped a friend of mine put in a new AW4 transmission in his Jeep. This one came with an NP231 transfer case, so we're converting the 2wd Jeep to 4wd. Got the transmission hooked up to the engine, now just need to bolt up some driveshafts.

I need to do that. Already have the Aw4 and 231 in the garage. How hard was that to do? Did it take long?

Pain in the *** getting the thing to line up correctly where you bolt it near the torque converter. The whole thing took around 4 hours, that was with disconnecting the old one and installing the new one.

Currently going speedo-less. The old AW4 was digital, but the one we installed today is actually older than the one we took out, so it was analog.

Going to try and wire in the digital one from the original AW4 and see if it works.

The digital one is off a 98, the one we just put in is either early 90's or 89. Not sure.
