I've been using mine to push people up the hill in front of my house. Its fun, I find myself wanting more people to get stuck in this snow/ice!

Hey man, I think you did alright with that deal. Finding a decent XJ in my neighborhood was next to impossible too. The thing of it is that there is book value (KBB) and street value (what you can actually get/sell your XJ for in your area). I was actually considering buying a jeep up to 1000 miles away since ANY functioning 4x4 is worth at least 2k in my neck of the woods and a jeep here would sell in Portland, OR for 1/2 the price and have more add ons.

The point is that you got a good deal for your location. Congrats.

i know what you mean, a good 4wd one around here is expensive, i got my 2wd for only $2100 its a 2000, 4.0 auto. I want a 5-speed though.

i had a guy offer me 3500 for it a little while after i got it.

Blew my engine lastnight, after 210000 miles I think it is a little tired now. Dropping off my NVH block, head and 4.2 crank at the machine shop stroker build to follow.

the blown rear end still under, new 8.25 next to the jeep and friends old D35 from the zj on the floor.

and heres the carnage in the old axle. the pinion bearing siezed, wore a new grove so it was impossible to get the pinion out and the housing was trashed. also, when it happen, it threw the pinion forward into the carrier causing this damage:

I installed a new drive shaft last weekend
so now I don't need the TC drop thats gone

every thing was working great until I hit the gas pretty hard of a stop sign
and I hear this sound
it was like something plastic rubbing on the drive shaft
so I get home and have my son listen while I power break
its coming from the engine compartment
so we open up the hood and give it another power beak
dam broken motor mount the fan hitting the shroud
