So here's a mystery one of you may have the answer to..
I would like to get some vent shades / visor vents for my 2001 XJ Limited, but AVS says they are not Limited compatible! how can that be? is it because of the folding mirrors?
Look just under the PDF file link that says Installation Instructions:
http://www.quadratec.com/products/71063_800_07.htm
I'll be contacting them Monday, but anyone know the answer from personal experience?
Thanks

I'm using the Weathertech's, I like them because they fit snug into the window crack. They also don't stick out very far from the window, gives it a better look I think.
You were 100% correct, I bought them and put them on, fits and looks great!
AVS Part# 94212
I will be asking Quadratec to say in their product description Installation Notes that it is confirmed to fit Limited XJ's to help avoid future confusion.

Nice! Quadratec should definitely know better. So do those stick to the rubber trim?
here's another angle:
I've got the same ones as Squelchtone. Only things I've found to be negatives are
1. Like was mentioned earlier, your a-pillar becomes gigantic, especially since I have a snorkel.
2. Even the AVS ones get brittle after a few years. I've had mine for 6 years and had to "patch" a hole with gorilla tape (see pic) after a decent sized branch met up with the vent during a wheeling trip last year.
This past winter the other 3 cracked in a few places as well so I just removed them all. I'm probably not going to get another set though, simply due to knowing I'll just have to replace them again. Pulling them off, along with the adhesive, is a PITA.

Give the Weathertecs a shot, have had mine on for 7 years. No adhesives used. No cracks, no fading, durable, have drug tree branches down them. Worth it in my opinion.
