Hello all,
I saw that my local Autozone has AVS vent shades that will fit my Jeep. Problem is, it seems that they might be made to attach to the outside of the window, on the body itself. I had AVS shades on my Ranger that fit inside the upper window lip, and they were perfect. I hate the look of ones stuck onto the body. Can anyone confirm these shades are like that or if they go either way, or where I can find some that tuck into the window?
Thanks much!

You would have to gotten yourself into a pretty tight situation to tear them off they really are on there good. And they are pretty close to the Window. I've seen ones that sit closer but I like these because I smoke and there is enough room to hang a cig out the window in the rain at a stop light. Lol. One of my many pet peeves. Can't stand people that just let the smoke go all in the vehicle. I know ppl that smoke with the windows up! Yuck! But anyways... I go at em In the car wash without a care in the world. I'm more scared of tearing my cb antenna off but that's why I got that trusty spring in there now.
My one suggestion would be not to get the cheapo ones thru ebay. They crack easily especially when it's cold. And you can just see the difference in quality. And if these stuck to the paint I probably wouldn't have went with them just in case I ever wanted to take them off.

AVS makes ones for the Jeep that tape to the painted part of the door not the window moulding. I ordered some thinking they were the ones that tape to the moulding, when I got them and test fitted them I got rid of them. They look horrible! Make sure the ones you saw in the store are the ones that tape to the moulding not to the door.

So, which ones are those? And wouldn't mind seeing the front if you get to it soon. Its on a 97+ style right?

Believe it or not I got the rears out of the junkyard they were in the back of a Cherokee. I bought whole set to make front match from pepboys though and they had to order them they were 60 bucks. I looked high and low every store around me and none carried them in store. Just about every other vehicle but Cherokees. Even grands.

Thanks for the heads up. Anyone know of any other brands to check out?

WeatherTech advertises that all of their ventshades are in-channel. But dang, they are a bit too pricey for me...
