How do you get a tyrod out of the sleeve?

Do you mean a tie rod? It's the rod that ties the wheels together, thus, "tie rod".

Please explain what you mean by "sleeve". Are you trying to get a tie rod out of the adjusting sleeve? Once you have loosened the bolts, it screws out. If it's rusted, you are going to need lots of penetrating oil and a propane torch is a big help, too.

Yes tie rod out of the adjusting sleeve. Sorry about spelling had 22 hours into ball joints than the tie rod but stripped.

Lots of heat and good penetrating oil.

Then undo the nuts on the sleeve, spread it open and undo.

Could also cut the nuts off and then spread it apart.

I prefer to buy a new one and replace both sides to avoid fighting it when working on my own stuff here in rust country !

Yeah, that stuff isn't all that expensive, but a wrecked vehicle because it isn't right.... that's expensive.

OR cut the stupid thing off with a grinder. The sleeve itself is cheap.
