how do can i find out what type of front and rear axle is on my cherokee wheather it be dana 30, 35, or 44

you have a 30 front. rear is either 35, 8.35, or 44

Here's a chart, the 8.25 is just like the Dana 35 when you look at it except the lip at the bottom is flat

Its a Dana 30 Low Pinion in the front and if you have ABS its a Dana 35 in the rear, if you dont its a Chrysler 8.25, provided they are the stock 2000 axles. If its an auto trans and a 4.0L engine then the gear ratio is most likely 3.55 unless it has a factory tow package then its probably 3.73. There should be a tag on the differental cover.
