I can safely say every time I have seen a locked dana 30 wheel on 35" tires or larger, there has been some kind of carnage.

I myself am a fan of having my jeep stay in one piece and not hold up my group on the trails.

I agree with you there maybe I should just leave it unlocked until I can afford an axle swap. What would be a good stock width axle to swap in?

I completely agree.
35s and open is pushing it.
Locked will result in breakage.

Being that guy that's broken down is not fun.

I also had TSL radials before they were great on trails that were sloppy on rocks they chunked pretty bad, they wore kinda quick , and on wet roads they got more traction going sideways then forward. Now if I was ever to run Another swamper it would be an iroc and I would have it Siped.
The radials tend to lose their lugs on rocks when you spin the tires. They are much better for the road though.

I have 33x15.5x15 tsl sx. They are about 100lbs each on wheels. The jeep is very stable. I'm not sure why you would get a skinny tsl sx, but that is just my opinion.
They aren't great in the snow (I haven't siped them), but in the mud they are superior. If you are driving mostly on the road get radials. Don't waste a tsl sx by driving it mostly on the road.

They only offer the tsl/sx in a 12.50 for a 36 sadly. I can go tsl radial and get a 14.50 for a 36 but seems like that would be scrub city on the inner wheel wells. I plan on getting a new daily the more I think of doing this set up. Like I said not to worried about the mileage granted I cant afford to replace tires every 3-5 months either.

Go with the q78s tsl(35.5x10.8 15). There about 60lbs a tire thats a much lighter tire than the 12.5 and alot less stress on the front. Lock the rear and q78s ftw. Oh and they have a 27/32 tread depth, so should last longer than a 18/32-21/32 tire. still not a long life tire on the street though.and they offer a 10.5 35 tsl/sx but they are still quite heavy

Well go to interco's website and look at the actual size vs advertised. Most 36s are less than advertised. Q78 is considerEd a 36" tire. Most 35s are 34.5-34.8"s.

This is the tire I have. I call them 36s because 7/10 people don't know what they are lol. But I've got a 36x12.5 tsl radial as a spare and my Q78's are the same height, just about an inch or two narrower. They kick *** over here on the east coast.
