Once I took my kids on the old rail road grade near Cowan, Tn. There was an old military Jeep broken at the entrance to one of the climbs. I strapped him out of the way and started up the hill. He yelled: "You can't do that in a Cherokee!" I calmly explained that we had already done the climb once but forgot to take pictures. We went back up and took our photos and then towed him back to town. Fun day.

well. im in easter PA and it snowed pretty good sunday...and i took a road not much traveled while i was taking one guy home from work early, and the road was not plowed at all and you could tell not many people took it because there were barley any tracks...
well in the opposing lane, a guy in a gms sierra drove into a ditch and bottomed out his chassis... in about 6 inches of unplowed snow. this road is usually a 45 mph road...nobody was on it. well i drove across those flexible things that divide the two sides of the road, hooked up to his hitch with my tow strap, and yanked that Fker out. the kid i work with said "D*mn im never makin fun of this thing ever again!" haha

oooh how the snow brings out the best in our jeeps.

X2
Granted nothing was really said, but we got a good 10" or so storm about 3 years ago, and my work closed for the day early, so I helped get some cars out of parking lot then drove around a small development that had not been touched, only one track, and people out snowblowing and shoveling all stopped to stare at me, just driving along, even stopped for my full 3 seconds at the stop signs, just so I could prove the stock XJ (I was 17 and broke but had huge plans for it) had no troubles
I wish we could get another huge storm like that, now that I have a not so stock XJ!
Oh how much fun Jeeps are in the snow!

Also gotta love "Are those things safe? Don't they always flip?" You just need to respond with a "Yupp, so be prepared to help roll it back over"

"You can't put that thing in four wheel drive, you'll screw up your transmission" -Grandmother that thinks she knows everything.

Your lucky you got a lot of snow, I live in Middle Eastern PA and we got nuttin. Maybe 2 inches, but a couple weeks ago we got about 5in and everyone laughed and said I was nuts because I took my jeep out on the roads...with bald tires. They laughed until they found out my bald tired jeep is better in the snow than my grandmother's Toyota Camry with snow tires on!
