hello, i have a 2001 xj, with a 4.5" lift. its got the shims in the back to angle to axle, but no TC drop spacers. i get driveline vibes at about 20-30, if i put spacers to drop the TC would that help the vibes? also my crossmember has two bolts and two studs, you would i got about the studs?

The two studs have a shoulder at their midpoint. This stops the stud once it contacts the frame.
That shoulder won't fit through the holes in the crossmember.
You have to lower the crossmember, at least on one side at a time to allow the studs to be removed.
Failing to do this will strip the frame nut. Then you have to drill a big hole in the side of the frame to "top nut" the new bolt.
PB fabulous blaster will help loosen the rust.

if you have a welder, weld the nut to the stud and crank them out. that was my only option.. I would have been screwed if I had not been at my college in the shop.

what i did was support the tailshaft. drop the cross member and double nut the stud. useing the top nut wrench it down. but BE CAREFULL. use alot of PB or KROIL if you can get it. Because if u brake the stup ull need an extractor.

I used the crossmember out of a ax 15 manual trans. Gave me about 3/4 drop. No loss is ground clearance and no vibes. Look at the manual and auto crossmembers side by side and you will see the diffrence.
