If you want tight bass, make sure you get a sealed box.

That video will educate you on the basics. Also, make sure the box matches the sub. Different subs are made with different boxes in mind. So make sure the sub box you get has the correct interior space, etc.

Rockford isn't what it used to be. Your best middle of the road brand would be a Soundstream. I recommend getting A Digital Design 8'. Don't laugh at it yet, and those who don't know shouldn't bash it. That 8' with a good amp combo will more then satisfy your needs. Match that with some high grade components (i.e Massive, Digital Design, or Sundown Audio) accompanied by a good head unit will certainly make your ride a head turner and something people will want to check out.

I don't want to bash anyone's stuff, but I spend a lot of time in a car audio shop with national titles... And Rockford Fosgate just isn't the quality it used to be. I personally wouldn't run their stuff.

Then you heard of the head unit I'm using. "Pioneer premier DEH-90HDD". Because every car audio shop I've been in. The sale reps. say "they never heard of it. And don't carry anything that high end." Even though it's 12 years old, It is still worth more than most head unit on the market. As for the Rockford Fosgates. I'm very happy with them, I'll stick with them. If I ever change them out, it would to go to Bose. "I don't want to bash anyone's stuff, but I personally wouldn't run their stuff". I personally wouldn't take the advice of someone recommending "Sound stream". To each, their own I guess.

Alright guys! I guess im going with a 12" unless i can get my cousin to trade me his 15" box. Flip out screen it is then. Might make it a custom top center console to mount a small tv but not sure on that.

If you want to save space get a shallow mount sub and box, I'm sure it will more then satisfy your needs still. As for the TV? The screen should satisfy those needs as well?
