Hey guys,

First of all thank you for looking at the thread and especially thank you to anyone who can help.

I have a '91 Cherokee Laredo 4.0 High Output that I just recently bought(famous last words) and I was having some battery drain issues. Long story short I traced it back to the stereo. Now that I have all the wires for the stereo figured out, there are still two left that I cannot find a home for.

I have a Green/red and a Grey/Brown (or maybe Brown/Grey) that I have no idea where they go to... Anyone able to help me out or know where these wires belong?

I won't have piece of mind until I know where all wires belong =)

 

Do you have a manual for your jeep? If not, you should pick one up.

 

Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Pink
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Violet/White
Car Radio Ground Wire: Black
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Light Blue/Red
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Orange
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Green
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Brown/Red
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Violet
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Blue/Red
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown/Yellow
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Brown/Light Blue
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue/White
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Blue/Orange

 

I have a Chilton but it doesn't give you the wiring for behind the dash. I have all the wiring for the radio figured out. The problem is that the previous owner cut the old harness out instead of just buying the adapter... Now I can't figure out where the green/red and the brown/grey wire are supposed to go to. But thank you for the stereo coloring codes anyway!
