I have a 2001 Cherokee and I was thinking about putting in a remote car starter but I have no clue how to do it. Is it hard?.. Should I have a professional do it?

 

I just had mine installed for 400. Got a compustar start/alarm combo with 3000 foot range remote

 

Some are simple some are PITA to instal. If you want the experience go for it, just follow the provided instructions. Just avoid the ones that have the lock and alarm features.

 

Its pretty easy on our XJs from what ive seen if your decent with wiring u will be alright. If u do it make sure u start a write up!

 

For sure on the write up. I would have done mine myself but its my only car and I don't think I could have managed to install it fast enough.

 

I got mine for only 25 bucks and it can with power locks kit. Not too hard to install. Just takes time. It is nice. Only prob I had was not being able to find a tach wire. 1990 I still font know where it is so I went off of the injector wire
