Default Rear brakes

I have a 96 Cherokee country, it seems like the springs inside my drum on the right side are weak and don't pull the brake pads pack after they've been compressed out to stop. Anyone have an idea of what the problem may be?

Disc brake conversion soon, need to solve this problem till then.

Inspect them first. If it looks okay in there, adjust them manually.

Adjusted them? They're not oil soaked?
