the gas guage not reading correct is the fuel sending unit. Replace it when you replace the gas tank. The oil guage not working correctly is most likely the oil sending unit. It located right next to your oil filter. May have 1 to 3 wires depending on your year. easy fix

Some other problems have developed while working on the dashboard ... the lights in the gauge cluster are not coming on might be a fuse or is this common with this jeep second i was in the middle of checking why it was not reading mph and i think the cable that goes inside of the cable fell out i guess how do i repair that if i may ask... i know this jeep has a lot of problems but i am wanting to do it my self to save some money and if something goes wrong with it i would know what to check
and thank you for that gdavenport0701 i will check the oil sending unit

No prob. Check this link out too! Its got alot of good info on most of the electrical issues with these renix motors. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f23/te...itings-136452/
You should try the ground refreshing in the engine bay and under the dash to see if that helps the lighting issue.
