the gas guage not reading correct is the fuel sending unit. Replace it when you replace the gas tank. The oil guage not working correctly is most likely the oil sending unit. It located right next to your oil filter. May have 1 to 3 wires depending on your year. easy fix

Might be a fuse. I would check those first... What do you mean the cable inside of the cable fell out?

The fuse panel is under dash to the left of the steering wheel. Fuse #9 is your cluster illumunation fuse. Its a 5 amp fuse.

No prob. Check this link out too! Its got alot of good info on most of the electrical issues with these renix motors. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f23/te...itings-136452/
You should try the ground refreshing in the engine bay and under the dash to see if that helps the lighting issue.

I tryed to install a cable coming from an adapter of some sort in the dash the cable from the adapter to the cluster was broken so i bought replacement wire and installed it the same on how i pulled it apart and it is not working.... it is not the cluter because the adapter is moving and if you try to move the cable going to the cluster it is a tight fit so i am at a loss now... can i please get some help before i go insane on the hood...
