I'm pretty sure I've never put my back seat down.

Ever.

Mine stays up , But that's cause there is a carseat for my 2-1/2 year old and there will be an additional one in 12 days for my 2nd. Maybe I should look for a Wagoneer to start wheeling.

Never?? That sounds crazy to me. I've hauled 1000's of pounds of firewood. Slept back there over 100 times. Stick my bike and kayak back there. Have had Deer, Elk and antelope back there. Hmm.

For years ran with no rear back and a modified cushion.
It was cut flat at same level as the floor and covered in floor carpet to match the floor.
Left the full tab so you could store gloves, D rings and recovery straps below it.

Added it back when my daughter was born so we could strap in her child seat.

Up the majority of the time. My friends view my jeep as some sort of thrill ride so almost every weekend I'm taking them on wheeling trips. Lol
