OME vs Bilstein
Ok, Im looking to get a 3' lift for my 93 coupe so Im talking to the counter dude @ 4Wheel Parts (he has a 95 XJ btw) and Im telling him Ive narrowed it down to 3' OME or 3.5 RE super ride.
From my researching I think its fair to say 6 in one hand half dozen in the other, meaning I cant go wrong with either...
FYI, Im a mall crawler and want the best ride I can get...
So he proceeds to tell me BOTH are great systems BUT which ever kit I decide on get Bilstein shocks.
Now Ive heard nothing but good feedback about Bilstein's and would get them in a heartbeat if I decide on the RE lift.......BUT to break up the OME kit doesnt sound right to me OR am I wrong.
Any insight would be helpful, thanks in ADVANCE...

thats what I was thinking as well, pretty much the same price point too.
everything being equal I was leaning toward OME
I still need to save another $300-400 thou, dont like putting mods on credit

I personally run RE with bilsteins on my Xj. But if you go with ome keep it all ome. 4wp will try to push re since it is now considered a house product I am surprised they did not try to push their race runner shocks that they claim to just as good as a Bilstein . Fwiw I am a former 4wheel parts employee

the best ride will be the full OME kit by far. two of my buddies of OME kits on their TJs, and my buddy's friend's dad has a OME kit on his XJ. they ride amazingly well.

X2 Been running OME for 7 years, handles a load quite well and DD duty even better. The new sport shocks are bad A$$.

I pieced my set up together over a couple years. Bought the leafs first and went from there. Put them on and ran like this for a year or so till I got enough cash to pick up some coils.
These pics are over 7 years of progression.
