Default Oil Pan gasket replacement

So I replaced my leaking gasket with a one piece Fel Pro one and done it successfully.
Even with a 3" lift I still had to droop the front axle to squeeze the pan out the back.

I had a question however, the stock gasket had a rubber gasket part between the rear of the pan and the bell housing of the transmission, With the new gasket this isnt there? It wont leak will it?

Do you mean the part of the gasket that sits on the bearing cap that is prone to squeezing out?

The only rubber bit I can think of is the rail that goes into the groove in the rear main cap - which is part & parcel of the one-piece moulded gasket you replaced your OEM gasket with. There shouldn't be another rubber bit there...

If you are referring to this part, it gets removed before installing the new gasket. I learned this the hard way.

I meant that black, rubber thing in the groove. Not the entire bearing cap, obviously. As mentioned, that's part of the old gasket.

When I took it out it was a gasket but separate to the rest of it. It had two holes for the end bolts and a curve that covered the hump area but on the outside

The picture in my Haynes manual shows a multi-piece gasket. I think there were a couple parts in the old gaskets. Your Felpro gasket should be one piece that follows the the entire contour of your pan (including the part that dips down in the rear).

I just did mine a couple days ago (Felpro blue gasket), and although it is a PITA to put on without RTV to stick to, it all sealed up fine. Definitely watch that back part though. I had to take all my bolts out and re-seat it because that part had poked out.

But wait, are you talking about the curved metal thing that bolts over the outside of that hump? Because that's just extra support I'm pretty sure.
