Rough Country, Y U NO? Winch Bumper LED Light Bar Mount
This is an LED light bar mount that puts a 12-inch light bar on Rough Country's XJ winch bumper (which I have). I've been getting basically nothing but a runaround from the people I call or IM at Rough Country for when it might be released.
I would love to have this actually, because it looks like it'd be a damn good place to mount an LED light bar:
It's featured in their video here:
I'm posting this in the hopes to see that there are more people out there than me that would like to have this. I know there are some that would rather get the huge LED light bar for the roof, but I just don't feel like drilling into anything, and my roof rails only come up to the driver door.
Or maybe, there's someone out there with good fabrication skills that could make something similar? I don't know.
Anyways, I would certainly love for Rough Country to begin offering this mount. Hopefully someone from their team sees this here.

Looks simple to make, a couple of holes drilled into bent flat stock, a couple of nuts and bolts, some paint, and presto, you just made something for under $20 they'll probably charge $75 for....

The question would be then, even if you found a third-party light bar mount for the fairlead, what's to say that every LED light bar would fit it? Wouldn't they all have different kinds of mounting points? Or would they be universal?

Can't say that they would, unless your light has the channels for the mounts to slide like mine. In which case you wouldn't need a mount, and you could mount it straight to the fairlead.
A 3rd party mount would specify what size it is for, and all of the lights that size use similar mounting from what I've seen so they should all work.

Where I wheel at lights mounted there wouldn't last for 5 min before they were broken into a hundred pieces. My Hellas catch hell even where they are mounted above the winch on the Bull Bar have broke one this year already the "Black Maqic's"

Check these out.

drill two holes in the top of the fairlead and you are golden.
Let me know if you have any questions.
