this will not work unless by "work" you mean start a fire. your compressor for your home is 120 volt a/c. your jeep is 12 volt d/c. alternating current and direct current components are not interchangeable.

inverter and you will prob need a large inverter to power the compressor. Prob gonna be cheaper to get a compressor built for a car

the more power it needs, the lower the guage. I'd say safe bet is 8 guage

wouldn't hurt to at least have a deep cycle marine battery...ever think about the other options like an ARB compressor or Vivair one? I guess it depends on what you want to do with the compressor......Inflate tires or run tools or both?

might be as cheap as buying the big load capable inverter

I used my stock A/C compressor. Have a tank in the back and a chuck up front and rear. Heres the tank and rear chuck.

yea i just dont wanna plum it all, and i have the extra air compressor since i just bought a new one, so i figured why not install it into the jeep, i now it will be enough to run repairs on the trail adn air up. and it wont hurt nothing to run it off the inverter.
