Default NOOB

Hey fellow Jeep people.
I am new to the site and to Cherokee ownership. I used to have a lifted '89 Grand Wagoneer, but that became a money pit and I didnt have any more money to throw into it....
I have recently bought a '91 Cherokee Laredo....2wd......for $500...

2wd. I know.
I was looking at the suspension and discovered that it may be fairly easy to lift...I'm not a noob to 4x4 ownership or customization, just Cherokee ownership.
Would it be worth it to lock the rear and lift the thing? I think it would be a cool desert runner or around town attention gettr...I'm thinking 8" and 35's.
An UGLY(sick) bumper and a winch...I dont know.
What do you guys think? Any input would be greatly appriciated.
This is the $500 project.

Mines 2wd and i locked it, it made a world of difference. Im going 5 inch and 33's and all i can say to you is go for it. Driftin in the grass or dirt (no sand here) is reel fun, especially when you get good at it and can swing your back end around reel fast for tight turns. If your goin to 35's and going to dune it, make sure your rear axle isnt a dana 35 and go with 4.88 gears to get a little more torque at the wheel. 7 inches and 35s does look better in proportions, but its all up to you.

All I can say is "make it your own." I wouldn't worry about what anyone thinks but yourself!
