I have a 95 Cherokee Sport and I've been wondering for months if there is a switch for the interior lights? The only way I can get them to come on is by opening the door. This is really frustrating as I am a delivery driver and need the lights to read phone numbers on receipts at night. I was wondering if there is some mystery switch I'm missing or if anybody has come up with a solution by adding a switch?

 

Twist the know for the headlights all the way to the left (I think) and it. Should turn them on

 

I've actually tried that and I thought that it should turn them on, but the only thing that the **** does is dim the dash lights.

 

Twist it all the way and twist a little harder. Mine was a little stuck at first but it should click to another detent

Like said, twist to the left till it stops then more till it clicks

 

It does click into a spot which I thought should be the lights, I've noticed that since I got it a few months ago, but they don't come on, I figured maybe it was just a locking position for the brightest dash setting.

 

nope, that should be it... might want to take a look at the wiring on the back of switch, previous owner(s) may have undone stuff or tried doing there own thing...

 

Definitely somethin wrong there all u gotta do is turn it to the left til it "clicks"
