Smile PURE LUCK! Anyone else have it happen?

Went to the local pick-n-pull to check around for some spare parts I've been wanting to get, including new hatch lock. They end up having only one Jeep Cherokee on the lot, just so happens to be a 94 like mine. Went out to check what was left of it and as luck would have it, the key is in the ignition and matches the rear hatch lock! 20 min later I had a new hatch lock and 2 new door locks.

Anyone else ever happen to have this kind of luck in a junk yard? If so, tell us the story!

Agreed, this is more off an off topic discussion. But on topic yes...Found a few neons with 703's and an up-country package xj with the rear gas tank skid already removed and the rare rear tow hook hanging on by one bolt. Had a good day at the junkyard that day!

Maybe one of those God like admin mods can move this on over to the correct section, I wasn't even thinking about that when I posted this. Oh well, honest mistake.

Not a jy score, but awesome none the less. Off kijiji i picked up a overhead consol, front ds, zj front coils (the v8 ones) a zj alt, front discos, adjustable trac bar and a brand new and never mounted trans/skid plate with a intergrated long arm mount(i have no idea who makes it)

Wait for it......

100 bucks. Guys wife told him it all had to go. My lucky day

Ha, quite the opposite.

When my wife totaled her SRT8, Geico had it towed to the auction lot before we could even get our stuff out of it. So when we went to the auction lot/junkyard to get our stuff, everything had be stolen out of the car including her platinum charm bracelet and the charms on it collected from all of the places we had been around the world in the military.

Awesome!

I once had a 65 mustang convertible and one of the roof latch points broke. In the old days, the junk yards really didn't know what they had so you had to wander around acres of crap and find it yourself. I happened across a 65 fairlane convertible and it had ONLY the right latch (what I needed). The left one was rotted. PURE LUCK....after about 2 weeks of searching though. LOL
