You could make your own wiring harness. But keep in mind you have like 20 miles of wiring to pull out. Lol

Won't gonna work. U would need everything in its place to run the engine and transmission especially if it's computer controlled. You also wouldn't want to go carb'ed on the 4.0 either

Only wiring I could see you removing is all the radio, lighting, and hvac stuff.

You think he could get by with as little as 95% and that's without even knowing the year or any details.

Can anyone tell me how long this piece of string is I have here on my desk?

Ooh, I love this game! I'm gonna go with 6.83 lbs.

But OP, you are not simplifying things by removing wiring. You are probably complicating it more than anything because you would have to tear apart all the factory harnesses, and frankly it's way more effort to rip the "unnecessary" stuff out than it's worth. It's not hurting anything that your interior lights come on when you open the door. Yes less wiring means shorts are easier to track down, but it really doesn't take that long to look up a wiring diagram and figure out what color wire does what.

96 sport,4.0 ho aw4 auto. thats the only spec that came to nz, only models here were sport or limited, i want to get rid of everything but whats needed to run it , alot of efi motors ive done it to only need 7-8 wires from the ecu to run, i mainly want to get rid of the constant electrical problems by removing all the unnecessary crap . unfortunately american wiring leaves alot to be desired,im used to working on jap stuff.

The problem is, you need wiring looms to run your transmission, fuel system, sensors, and much more. Cherokees won't run if you start removing things like cps plugs and such. You could remove light harnesses and HVAC harnesses but that's about all you could remove and still have a running jeep. Trust me. Been there done that. Just to find out what wires I cut and having to track then down and re wire them.

7-8 wires? Maybe on a diesel! This Jeep is OBDII, there are more wires for the fuel injectors alone dude...

If you're serious about this you'll need to acquire a Factory Service Manual with wiring diagrams. Then you will see in no small detail exactly why all of that wiring is required. That **** under the hood, that's kind of important.

Like I said before: You can remove the A/C and the lighting if you really want...
