Here's what you do..... get a small block out of a 60s Chevy. Swap it in and Wire that up. That will be like 10 wires tops

Not to mention that fact that the OP's goal is simplicity. I would hardly call a small block swap "simple".

Sorry. Didn't catch the nz part. But small block swaps aren't exactly difficult really in anything.

Yeah but to swap in a small block you need to swap the trans also,Then that leads up to should you swap a better t case or just a adapter kit and keep the stock t case. Then have two driveshafts made and other things. As some one that has ran a carb off road they suck sometimes.Going up a steep hill and coming down your carb can lean out or flood out on you lol.Same thing goes for extra off camber for a carb.

carb is not an option as they suck *****, one day it will get a ls,in nz we have plenty of chev ,ford , mopar stuff , our commodores,(4 dr sedan)have the ls 6l as the std motor, top ones run 430kw/570hp s/c std, all our yank cars here are only the good ones, no 6 cyl stuff ,cause we have good gas, our octane is 91 -100 at the pumps depending which you want.going thru the loom at the moment and should be able to get rid of most of the body loom, basically its as if you were to build a buggy and put the motor and trans fron a jeep into it.my sparky mate is making a simple loom that only controls the motor and trans, no extra **** like ac idle up or anything that is not needed, got to remember us kiwis can make anything
