New Bloke Here from Oz, cheers to all.
G'Day Folks my first post from Australia and I am finding it hard to navigate this forum so my apologies if I am posting in the wrong part of the forum.
I am trying to help my neighbor out. He has removed the heads from his 12month 2010 Jeep Cherokee K 3.7liter V6 engine and wants to get a VRS gasket kit from the U.S.A. as they are less than a third of the cost here.
I have approached two sellers on Ebay in the U.S.A. and as the Australian Vin No IJ4P456KOBW522435 does not match into the American Vin numbers the sellers will not advise if the gasket kits are the correct for this car.
The car has the usual import approval number as they were imported by Chrysler Mitsubishi here. The car is a Cherokee Limited 2010 Model with the 3.7 liter V6 motor.
Can anyone please advise which gasket kit is needed and if the head bolts need replacing when replacing the head gaskets. Thank you. Best regards.

I will take some pictures and compare it as it seems you have put me on the right track. Col bought it knowing the motor was not running however he is pretty handy with motor repairs.
Quite a nice car in shinney black and smick interior. Thanks for your help identifying the beast, much appreciated for sure.

Hope it helps.
Smear some Vegemite on the head gaskets upon assembly. Works like Permatex 32.

I think all export KJ's were badged as Cherokees (except mine, which which only has Jeep & 3.7 badges - & I'm glad about that, because it ain't no Cherokee!).
You could find any price differential might well be eroded by freight, tax & duty, so do your homework & mathematics.
Don't know how it is in OZ but I find the American obsession with VIN's & part numbers at once, odd, endearing & a source of bemusement, because here we buy parts by year, make, model &, where relevant, engine.

Order localy and wait a week or so for it to come north from down south and pay three times the price. He was quoted 600 plus bucks for a VRS gasket kit here not including bolts..
Yes when I buy parts for my Ford Territory or Landcruiser HJ75 I only need the year and model similar to you. Realise the people in the U.S.A. have a vastly larger arrangement of Vehicles and model variations.
Regards.
