Default Needing help on ax-15 research project

I have a project I'm needing to do, I have to figure out how each part in it is made and what material it's made of. I know it's a cast aluminum case but not much beyond that haha
links and stuff would be great if anyone has any
Btw figured here was good since they came in xj's

Wikipedia may help as well.

Syncros are brass/yellow metal.

I can't find much. I think the gears are all forged and the shift forks maybe cast

That's an interesting project... from my knowledge, 90% of all transmissions would be made with the same materials. the synchros, as said above, are brass or brass alloys. All the gears are hardened steel. the shafts will be hardened steel too. clutch forks can be cast, or mid grade steel.

That's a hard thing to research, because no one is too concerned of what something is made of, just how good it performs.

Good luck
