my sub woofer box got stolen out of my ZJ in the driveway. kinda sucks!!! at least they didn't get the rest of my system. it did make me replace the horns so my factory alarm can be heard now, as well as install an alarm on my wifes XJ. I hate to have to spend money on crap like that when there are lockers and winches that need to be bought. oh well from now on if an alarm goes off they're going to be protected by the 2nd amendment!!!

 

That's exactly why, I mounted my sub in the rear passenger side pocket of my XJ. (and painted all the speaker grilles to match the interior) You peek into my XJ, You really can't see that, I have a seven speaker stereo system in it. Or the amps under the rear seat. (about $1400 worth of equipment) The only thing that can be seen, is a head unit without the faceplate on. All the rear windows are factory tinted & mirrored. It all cuts down, On the temptation of stealing it. It's also nice to have the cargo space back.

 

My XJ has air horns fitted to the alarm system. Sounds like UP844 outside your bedroom window when it blows.
Love the signature saying "I put the HERO in Cherokee". Very clever.
Over here I saw a Land Rover with the L and an R missing, so it spelt " and over".

 

lol. ya the next box I get is getting bolted down. they didn't get my amp, it's under the seat. I don't know if they got spooked off before they could get it or just didn't know how to lift the seat. it's getting bolted down now too, so if they get past the alarm and into my Jeep, they'll have to either destroy it or fight it to get it.

 

Should bolt it down, You get into an accident, or just hit the binders. The sub box will hit you in back of the head. In June of 2008, During a storm. A tree fell across the road, about 10 ft. in front of me. (I was doing about 25 mph.) I hit the skids, slide into the tree, pushing it about 10 to 15 ft. All the crap that was in the back, landed in the front seats. Which really hurt.
