Nice, I might steal that idea! And my crappy little donut can go in the back or something... once I get a full size spare it'll go on the roof rack.

yeah, x2 evilpopcorn - I might just steal that idea too!. Ive got a crappy space saver spare right now.. but when I upgrade my tyres and wheels I'll get a proper spare and whack it up on the roof. It looks really good xjcrawler.. nice workmanship, and practical. Im sick of crap flying aroung the cargo area every time I turn a corner.. especially since I removed the old rotten carpet back there.. gets kinda noisy whn my tools and other stuff rolls from one end to the other. What were you planning on covering it with.. carpet, or tread plate?, or do you have something else in mind?.

Looks great! Add a couple gas struts and that would help keep the lid up.

No problem! it was very easy to make, It took about 2 1/2 hours. I plan on cutting the top in half so I can open one side at a time.

You should make something along the line of the snow plow quick-disconnects to keep it latched. That would be cool and not that hard to design... basically twp spring loaded nails.

yea that would be sweet, I have locks on them now I am planning on putting a small mount for a spare to go on top of it. Just enough to hold it down and easily taken off
