Arrow Moving cross-country, what to do with my XJ?

Hello all,

New here and I thought this was the right place to start? I plan on making a move across country very soon here for new career opportunity and I'm at a crossroads with my XJ. I am not driving it to where I will be relocating, and I'm wondering whether it's worth trying to sell as a whole vehicle or as a part out honestly. By all means it still runs and drives, but it's a '98 Sport with 245k on the odo, and it's had a very looong life. I don't know what the values of either of those two possible options would bring in, what the market is, etc. So, if anyone could shed some light, or give some insight into the matter. Or even point me in the right direction thread wise.

Cheers,
-Robert.

Hi, and welcome. Yeah, I'd say you are in the right place.

Runs and drives? Unless it's barely hanging on, it's worth 2 grand or more. Maybe 4 or more.

Parting out is long, tedious, and not very profitable. Been there, done that. Even if you could get the money out of it, it won't happen quickly.

Post some pics! Also, update your location so we can better advise you.
