i found ruts....

we made some big ruts in my brother in law's toyota, then he was like "i wonder if we can make it across them sideways..."

2nd gear, 4lo, 3500rpm clutch dump....made it all the way across till we got to the hill on the other side, started digging down...so i dropped it in reverse and tried to make it back across...well, we discovered that somehow a 35" tire can leave a rut deep enough to hide itself when it goes off in it...

yep, so far thats the worst thing i have found! then again i'm fairly new at this

Buddy and I were driving around just exploring, and we decided to walk down a narrow trail. Came across an abandoned grave yard. It was a sad sad sight. People had knocked over head stones, soiled graves, ect. Creepy as hell too. As we continued on the trial on foot we realized it was Bachelors Groove. For those of you that don't know, it's in northern Illinois, and Al Capone dumped bodies in a pond that is there and is known to be haunted. We didn't see anything, but i refuse to go back.

this was not while in the jeep, but mountain biking one time we found a guy who fell the wrong off a cliff (about 50 feet) and was badly injured and we helped get him airvaced off the trail. we were Bike Packing (backpacking with mountain bikes) so i had my climbing gear in my back pack and went down to check him out (i am red cross and BSA CPR/Life Saver certified) while my buddy went with another friend to find cell service and use the phone as a GPS to pinpoint our position (we had topo maps and we knew what trail we were on but the Cell Phone emitted an exact gps signal so we thought i would work better) he was safe after that =]

I found a 55 belair. It was completly destroyed nothing good or salvagable. I had a pic but lost it. it was at the bottom of a hill with tree's grown around it. I think it came from the farm at the top of the hill.

Last week I found a stolen honda civic someone had stripped and vandalized.
It had been clearly dragged out there...

One night years ago, me and a buddy, my sister, and sis's oldman att, saw a ufo.
Before you start with the "your full-of-it" let me clarify: this thing was airborne, and did not behave like any known aircraft in the world (and I know alot about aircraft)
Infact, we sat there trying to rationalize what it was for the better part of 30 min before we came to that conclusion.......UFO.

Not wheelin, but one time my brother was backpacking back east (I forget where) by himself, and runs into this grizzled guy with a wolf coming from opposite direction on trail.
they exchanged hello's and then this guy 180's and starts following my brother...after a bit they converse again, and he explains that he's got a rig at the trail-head, and would my brother like a ride.
Well its miles to civ still and my bro's car is miles away so he agrees.
when they get to dudes rig, its a van......he opens the back, and says "you can throw your gear back here"......
My brother sees plastic lining, and a chainsaw!
Then guy goes: "oh yeah I cut wood, and don't want the back dirty.....but my bro's 6th radar is going off the charts......"no thanks, I'll walk out thank you for the offer though"......
Might have been nothing, but never, ever ignore the 6th!

Also where me and my brother go backpacking, in the trinity's there has been rumored satanic activity. (more common than you might think) and he's found pentagrams and such 10ft square made from small boulders........could be kids......could be wrongness!
as well as pot farms......
I pack a colt 1911 .45 and a huge khukri knife...he packs his .45LC every time we go into the trees!

one of my old neighbors just told me thsi story a few days ago: he went for a quick trail ride one day in the summer while visiting family in Mississippi. seemed like it would have been a normal day of wheeling, but suddenly all these guys dressed in medieval clothing, carrying foam swords, shields, maces, and some dudes had full armor on having this epic LARP battle. he freaked and floored his K5 Blazer through the trees and slide to a stop in this partially opened field that was surrounded by tents and little shop stands. all these people were there looking at him like "wtf?" turns out he crashed the local Renaissance Fair.
