sorry for the thread revival. It's good to see my 98 2wd auto at 281k isn't too bad. Seeing them click over 500k is awesome. Mine seems to need some tranny work soon but never says no! The previous owner did s lot to it and it's awesome!

 

I got up to 350k+ miles on my old '94. Original tranny and engine still running great when it got T-boned. Was shooting for 500k.

 

How did that go? Was everyone ok? Did they total it out? That sucks.

 

my 89 is just short of 290k runs strong little bit of belt squeak I gotta fix but nothing major cooling system is on its last legs though lol

 

My dad has a 95 XJ with 389k

 

My 1992 jeep Cherokee xj has almost 310,000 miles on it and the only recent problem i had was with over heating, threw on a new water pump and some hood spacers and that ***** stay cool asf now

 

I guess my '96 with 251k is just getting broke in when I some of the other numbers on here.

 

Almost 250k on my 01. I’ve had it for 20 years. Only major issue was a blown head gasket at about 80k. I even have the original 0331 head.

i did overheat a d blow the radiator another time. At about 190k. Just replaced the entire cooling system. The water pump had no blades left. Haha.

 

When I sold my red 96 XJ in December 2018 it had 536k on the clock all original. Was burning oil and absolutely coating the intake manifold TPS and IAC in oil and was down on power but able to be driven on the highway no problem. Sold it for scrap prices to a girl locally and still see it around every so often no clue what kind of works gone into it since then.

 

My 88 XJ had just over 300,000 miles when I had to replace my engine due to a cracked block which was my fault. My wife's 96 XJ has 160,000 now that is an engine that's not broken in yet.

 

My 94 has 268,878 and is still running strong

 

 

My 1997 xj is still running strong with the original engine and only the second transmission. We rebuilt the head at 150k hoping to get another 250!

 

After reading some of the posts here in this thread.... I've got some work to do.... I'd best get busy... my 99 only has 112k on the clock. lol.
She's been my daily for the last 5 years and I maintain it right....but I work from home most days, so that doesn't rack up the miles very fast.
