You gotta get the right bolts and do it right, and take your time. I did it and LOVE it. Gonna do all of them some winter when I have some down time!

I really dont have any regrets for my rig.. I do regret selling my 94 though.. (it was rolled by me.. completely stock) but I could have harvested so much from it.... oh well. About the hood vents.. unless you are working your rig you will never really see the difference in temps and even still it wont effect the operating temp that much.. Before I did my vents I would get really bad heat soaking of my injectors.. to the tune of my engine shutting down due to the injectors locking up with all the heat. My motor temps remained in the normal range but the injectors almost sizzled my saliva off of my finger tip. Once I cut the vents in I havent had them get that hot again.

Not so sure it could be considered a "mod", but selling my 96 after rolling it. Engine, drivetrain, and suspension wise it was in great shape, the body was twisted to all hell though. Poor girl didn't even have 100,000 miles on her. But hey, I was desperate and needed the cash the insurance company offered me. I was in no position to part it out. I probably wouldn't have made out much better anyway.

Blaster Coil from MSD, from Rocky-Road. Failed after 3 thousand miles.
Downgrading from 6.5" to 4.5".
Buying BDS shocks.
Buying RC 6.5" lift. Stiff as all getout. Should haven't went with OME 5.5". A CAD might have helped a lot, but those spring in the front are no joke.

I regret buying any short arms. Total waste.

So far with the current build (97 XJ) worst one is not finding Cherokee Forum sooner! I carved the front spring hangers on the rear completely off and fabbed my own from new steel. Then I found a write-up on here showing how to cut the bottom of the mount off so you could get a wrench on the rusted nut
At least I made it stronger?

I have 2 regrets, one of which happened today..
My first regret is my lack of patience. I had a guy lined up to sell me a 99 cherokee with a 6.5 inch lift, 35s, 8.8 rear which i was going to gut and put everything onto mine, he only wanted 800 for it since the motor and tranny were blown. But instead of waiting 2 weeks for him to get back into town i went out and bought my RC 4.5" and a set of 33" BFG AT..
The tires alone cost me more than his entire jeep would have, and i would have gotten much better parts.
My second regret is letting a buddy of mine use a hammer on my rear fenders today.. I knew i should have taken the time to cut them up and fold them properly. At least now i have to commit to cutting and rewelding!

I installed a lunchbox locker (Powertrax No-Slip). It was worse than an open rear, and nothing was broken. Change to a LSD, but wasted $400 dollars on it. Gave it away at OKtober Truckfest. Hope it works for the guy I gave it to.

Putting a 7inch flip out screen in was the biggest regret had to cut a lot to get it to work
Then buying control arm drops that took 5 hours to install and then a week later I decide to lower it back to 3inches of lift and take em out waste of money!!!

^ Just curious, but why/what did you have to cut to fit the flip screen? Isn't it a single din configuration like the stock radio?
