Oh my...there have been so many.
In no particular order.
Swiss Cheese mod on the airbox.
Fuel pump kill switch in the wrong location. It kept getting tripped when the drivers seat was moved.
Bushwhackers.
Loved the look, hated what happened whenever I got close to a tree or boulder.
Snap, crackle, and Pop.
Tube rear bumper.
Looked great but the part that wrapped around the sides of the jeep just didn't work out the way I hoped.
Dual Jerry Can mounts along with a fullsize spare.
Just too much weight to hang off a tire carrier/bumper. It basically destroyed a set of leafs in less than 1 season.

Thought of another one, I hooked my switchs for my lights on the side of my center consol, my arm kept hitting the switch and turning on the lights and I didnt kno they were on. I went out to a dead battery several times

I like this thread, lol....
Well, here's mine,
BLACK HOUSING PROJECTOR 7" X 6" HEAD LIGHTS - sure they look great in the daylight, just look at my album........
At night though...............might as well hold a candle out my window, as it would probably light the way a little better, lol. Black housing kills the reflective light, making it impossible to see. Needless to say, I went back to the factory housings/lights until I upgrade to something better.

Rear 6x9's. I spent $Idon'twanttotalkaboutit.00 on Kicker DS693's and they don't deliver much of any low end because speakerbars are acoustical nightmares.

Took the non factory fog lights off, cleaned them, water proofed them with silicone, and soldered them back on.
And they dont work.
Reese multifit hitch... way too low.
Cant really complain as it was a gift.

F150 coils
Drilling trackbar bracket.
Stupid magnetic cb antenna.
I like the stiffness of the coils but i have plenty of room for wheel travel after I trimmed my fenders, and the coils don't flex worth a damn, it lands nice when i get it air born though. Should have bought a real track bar from the start, double sheer is now my preference. Finally that stupid CB antenna flies off every time i go over 60 which is quite annoying, i actually had someone in the back seat of my truck with their window down and it about hit them in the face.
Oh and i forgot, don't buy sway bar drop brackets if you are planning on running wide tires, they will rub your sway bar, just bay longer sway bar links.

lmao i really like this thread too. i guess i have a few. ranked in how much i regret them.
1) spending $250+ on the AEM cold air intake, sure it sounds cool and probably works a little, but now have to be really careful about going through deeper water and i don't want to worry about it. its just not meant for wheelin rigs. cowl snorkel is coming next.
2) starting off with a 3'' lift. in hindsight i really should have gone with a 4.5 and added on from there. now i'm stuck at 5'' unless i want to get all new springs.
3) cheaping out and buying a bunch of RC products. i love the rustys parts i have, but the bushings on my RC track bar and upper and lower control arms all sound like a flock of birds.
4) novak np 231 cable conversion. see this thread https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/bu...version-96109/
i think thats about it, I'LL NEVER REGRET GOING DOORLESS i think everybody and their mother should take the doors of their Xjs

My AAL. I wanted 3.5 of lift and ended up having to get two sets of S10 leafs until I got the height right
When I add up all the time I spent going to the junk yard, cutting, drilling, assembling, disassembling, reassembling the parts
And then add that to
the cost of the leaves, center pins, u-bolts etc
It would have saved me SSOOOOOO much time and effort to just buy a new set of leaf packs and be done with it
