The mod is not worth doing in my opinion.
Its obvious you have either never done the mod, or were too busy dreaming about your long arms to notice the travel you loose from the mod.
For a hundred bucks you can just buy aftermarket ones.
i can make them work, that is not the issue. Its that it is not worth the trouble.

It's nice that you got that from thin air.
It's also obvious that I have more than one XJ.
Captain Obvious here.

You're right, without the correct modification you'll lose travel over the stock arms... If you lack the knowledge or drive to get it done then it's not for you.
Just drill some holes in them. They'll flex so much better.

No, I didn't do it... That's completely obvious.

Its amazing those little stock xj arms hold anything

Notice how the left arm is much thicker? Mainly about 3.5in back from the bushing where the stocker tapers down quite a bit.
There is a LCA stop on the axle that bottoms against the control arm to prevent it from lowering anymore. 2in difference between control arms is what it measures.
I have spent some effort making the most of what little I have. So when I installed the new arms and lost 20% of my travel. Yea, I had second thoughts.
Yes I can cut back the stops on the shock mount to allow more travel. But that adds to the other two mods to the control arms you must do.
For that work, and effort. I would rather spend the extra 50 bucks and get aftermarket control arms, where you gain even more travel.
My opinion, and I believe I am allowed that.

I love 3 inch lifts. Just wanted to toss that in there.
Ok regrets:
*buying el cheapo lights to "save money" Then buying 2 sets of KC's a month later.
* cold air intake. Don't do this.
*using RC's rear blocks. Which cracked in 2 weeks. Went to auto zone bought 3inch blocks for 30 bucks not only haven't broken, but gave the truck some rake.
*taking my factory roof rack off my 95 and selling it. Had a safari rack lined up to buy but the dude backed out. Thus leaving me roof rack less.
*putting off doing the oil filter adapter o rings. 3 starters later I replaced them . Just do it now.lol
*cutting my exhaust off after the cat. Ended up replacing it all bc it was loud as he'll and the fumes were unbearable.
*putting synthetic blend oil in my 95 xj w/ 183k miles. Blew every gasket known to man. I didn't know any better then. I was just starting tech school.
*putting a bag of mulch on my backseat. Had to look at that stain for the rest of the time I shared with that particular xj.
*ordering my lift thru jc Whitney. They sent me 4 coils and 4 blocks basically 2 of everything but NO shocks. 2 days before a huge snowstorm.
*driving the jeep shock less because I couldn't just not drive it after lifting it!Omg boat mobile.
oh I'm sure there are more. Lol

Beware the synthetic oil my friends. Some high mileage motors fair fine. Others do not. I'm sure there is a ton of people who would put their opinions in but here is mine: I'm sticking to regular oil. Lol
Never had an issue with those blocks. Still on the truck to this day. Will I be using blocks on my 2000? Awww hell nawwww. Lol. I didn't know any better back then. And I have a real job now. Lol

try pouring conventional at 30 below, it's like syrup, then pour synthetic
