Low mileage 2001 XJ...should I sell it?
I am the lucky owner of a beautiful 2001 XJ with about 82000 miles on it. I got it from my mom who is the original owner. I love this car and it has been an extremely reliable vehicle for the years I have owned it, hauling me and my stuff across the country. I have seen, however, that these low mileage XJs are becoming harder and harder to find, at least that is what articles I read are saying.
When is a good time to consider selling this car, or should I just run it into the ground? Even though I love it, I would hate to hold onto it and miss an opportunity, and I feel people in the community might have better inside information about this than I do. Interested in hearing your thoughts.

Gotta post some pictures. There is also a classified section where you could post it for sale if that's what you decide.

Low mileage is nice and all but if it's rotting out then it's worth nothing. It's extremely rare to find an XJ with under 100k miles. If you're an enthusiast, it would be awesome to own one. If it's just another car to you, I'd sell it to someone who would appreciate it.

I will get some pictures next time I get around it. It’s definitely not rotted out, was garage kept for a pretty long time. I am definitely not an enthusiast, I love it but could love another car too! Thanks for the input, I will update soon.

nah, majority here will agree 82k is low....especially for a 20 year old vehicle....and i think an xj doesnt fall into "most vehicles". They are a proven platform to continuously go far past 200k compared to other vehicles. Like one of the comments above, less then 100k is a rarity for these

Yes, you should definitely sell that Jeep before you become addicted to it and it costs you many dollars and busted knuckles.
In fact, I am prepared to offer you the Kingly sum of three hundred dollars and a sack of White Castle sliders.
What say you Sir?
