Default Big Thanks to BlueRidgeMark for his writeup

On installing an override switch for the e-fan.

I followed the instructions carefully and it worked. Now I have electric fan cooling on demand. Before it would only switch on when the engine got really hot. I tried new sensors and relays to get it to turn on sooner, but it never worked. So I finally installed the switch 4 weeks ago.

And the big test came last week when I drove from NYC to Cape May NJ. The slow, heavy traffic in Chinatown in NYC usually sends the engine close to the red line, but this time when temp gauge started to climb I switched on the e-fan, revved it in neutral for a minute, and then the temp came down to normal. And no more issues after that.

Thanks again, Mark.

PS

Driving back on the Garden State Parkway the flow of traffic is like 70-75mph, and that day there were some big gusts of wind that had me holding the steering wheel with both hands and almost crapping my pants.
