So, it has been a while since I have posted on Cherokee Forum... I tend to drift in and out of discussion groups as the mood strikes. Haven't done much of anything lately to the rig. It's still faded, and ugly. Lol. I did recently replace a busted seat, which is no hard task.
The cool thing is that the guy that I got the seat from has a bunch of other goodies for modest prices that I would like to get to put the XJ into better trim. "New" rear leaf springs to take the sag out of the back, a set of alloy wheels, the supports for the rear hatch, and I am pretty sure that I could get a stock passenger side mirror off the guy. He'll be getting some of my money for the next couple paychecks (gotta balance it out while paying bills of course).
So, after I get those parts, I think I am gonna yank off my fender flares, and actually install the lift parts that I have sitting in a box (shackles and spacers). Even thinking I'll paint her if I can get things cleaned up nicely enough. Possibly go to 30" or 31" tires (about 1.5-2" of lift). That shouldn't be too much for the 2.5L to handle. Running 235s out back right now.
So yeah, found a source for stuff I wanted/needed anyway. Kinda excited about it, and eager to do some much wanted wrenching/Jeep work. I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who gets this way. Lol.
