I can't decide if they look good on the XJ or not. I wished they wrapped around a little more. What do ya'll think?

They look good but are they bolted on top of the stock bumpers? You might wanna make the rear a little wider so it will cover the back of the quarters.Other than that they look great. Please don't get mad at the comments,I'm not trying to get anyone mad.

Hey Troy, that's exactly what I was thinking. The rear, to me, needs to be extended more, and I wish the front bent around the front panels a bit. I like the price, but not sure if it's the way I wanna go.

if you wouldnt mind loosing the front hoop and rear reciever (the rear is only bolted to just the 8 holes like stock) then i would recomend the razor by roxolid. Basically same thing but powder coated and for less if i remember correctly. I have no experience either way but those other ones on ebay seem like a better deal because they are powder coated. Also look up ryans fab bumper (i think) and naxja on google there is discussion about these bumpers.

Alright so i like the way the bumpers look but they are only 1/8" which is the same thickness as the stock bumpers...

I like them so much I've got a set. I actually have a prototype set that I got about 6 years ago and mine are 1/4 wall. I don't use the hitch and I have modified the front for a winch but they are tough. The rear is actually wider than it looks. It's as wide as the body on mine.

I like the looks of them, but the 1/8" is what I don't like much the 1/4" sounds about perfect. The 1/8th inch just doesn't instill a feeling of confidence in me in a recovery situation, even 3/16ths would be better. Also do they come with the mounting plate that use more bolt holds on the uni-body frame?

they are nice, i build bumpers too and the only thing i think he should do is wrap the ends around the corners to the fenders to protect it more.
otherwise they are a nice looking set of bumpers

When 1/8" is boxed it increases the strength quite a bit. AJ's makes rock rails with 1/8 boxed steel & I've been told that they're tough as heck. Personally I don't like these bumpers, but just trying to help you decide.

I do know that boxing steel will make it stronger. Just saying for me, I would want 3/16-1/4 on a winch bumper. If not the whole bumper in the heavyier steel at least the mounting and winch seat areas.

Those are the some of the worst bumpers and the crappiest install I've seen for an XJ. They are too narrow front and rear and just don't look like they fit. The basic design is OK, but they need to be modified enough that you might as well build your own. How are those things mounted. The mounts are more important than the bumper, if you plan to USE the bumper.
