Probably anywhere between $3-500 give or take depending on if they're changing the rear springs or just doing a add-a-leaf. I do lifts for a living at a off road shop, but a regular garage may not know the tricks to doing those. Time and broken bolts adds up.

Seriously..do it in your yard, in a big parking lot..lol anything is better than paying a mechanic.
A 3 inch basic lift would prolly cost you around 400 or so for labor, something like a long arm lift would prolly push 800 or more.

X2

And with your savings.. You can buy a long arm kit! Lol it really isn't as complicated as it seems and especially if your just doing an aal. You can do that without even having to take the leaf bolts out.

I agree with the general consensus. I was a novice mechanic at best when I put mine on (and still am) and it was hard but nothing I couldn't handle. My best advice would be don't try it alone. Having the extra hands around to hand you stuff is worth a lot. Also keeps you from having to muscle things so much.

Besides that, most of the prices that I've seen so far are pretty conservative. I had some places tell me as high as 1200 bucks. Do your research and lube up those old rusty bolts about a week in advance. You got this man!

I wanted to pay someone too. just because i'm 41 and didn't feel like rolling around on the ground. i had a 4.5" lift and control arms. they wanted like 800-1k. I laughed at him and just walked out.

I did mine with the help of a couple of friends. but if you have the funds and don't mind payin for it; then go ahead. i would have if i had the money. but i'm glad i did it because i KNOW i did it right. been workin on cars since i was 14.

My old boss was quoted $850 to install a lift kit, and that was the best price he could find. I did it for him for a lot less. Lift kits are easy to put on, I suggest doing it yourself.

If you have two arms and a leg you can do it yourself.

It would be expensive at a shop, I'm sure you could do it. Me and my dad did mine and that was both of our first times messing with a lift kit. It took us 4 days and a lot of broken bolts, wd40, torch, cutting, and cussing but we got it lol. Only took us 4 days because we broke a bolt inside the frame. Horrible.
