I don't know if a thread like this already exists but i can't find one so I'm starting one. Anyways, what xj modifications have you been pulled over for? Ex. No reflectors, to much tire sticking out of the fenders, to loud etc. if so what happened? And name your state because of different laws.

 

Im in ct. Got pulled over initially for being doorless. officer asked me if i thought i fit into the same rules as a wrangler, and when i explained that you did in fact have to remove hardware to go doorless on a wrangler, the only difference is 2 nuts per door or 6 bolts, and that the rocker area of the door is in fact set high enough to contain legs in the event of an accident he let me go. I see him now and then and he gives me a thumbs up haha

 

Well the tires sticking out definately has gotten me a warning note I havnt been pulled over yet for the no door thing but I will surely remember that argument about hardware but I figured I would have been cited for tinted headlight and taillights

 

None in my XJ. But I did get a ticket for being door less in my dad's TJ. MP said I needed 2 mirrors so I put the doors back on that day. Location : Fort Drum, NY.

 

Doorless a couple times. It's not illegal here but a couple local counties have real ****head cops who will pull you for it to hassle you and look for other things.

 

i was pulled over by a IL state cop that caught me speeding and came to be and started with bumper height and frame height and i was like what so he printed me the laws and gave me a warning for illegal front and rear bumper height, frame height, suspension height and no front licence plate. o i complied to his warning and got b plates to cover the frame and bumpers height in the right areas and then the suspension height law is that it can not be lowered or lifted higher the 3 inches in illinois.

i have also had a cop do whip a uy when doorless and pulled up next to me and said what the **** you doing. i said driving. so he was like were are you doors? i said at home and that i am perfectly legal. so he was like whatever and pulled away.

i work for a city too that likes to mess with semis and stuff around here and i told them to leave the lifted trucks and stuff alone and get the ricers

 

Only tickets I've gotten was for 20% tints up front

 

Been pulled over 6 times in my jeep. Gotta love California.

1 time lecture about no front plates
1 time lecture about my KC lights not being covered
1 time lecture for no review mirror
1 time serious lecture for driving around with no shocks up front, only coils. Was bouncing all over the road like it had hydraulics. So dangerous. So much fun.
