This week in 2001 I placed an order with Jasper Jeep for my third, and probably last XJ Cherokee. I think it has every option I could get, including towing package, Up Country package, NV242 transfer case (Select Trac). Nearly 20 years and 153,000 miles later it's still a great vehicle.

Kinda jealous. Especially the Up Country Suspension part.
Do you have the sticker for the Up Country still?
He has made some nice replicas. He was doing other work and I just asked about maybe reproducing them.
He ran with it and made it happen.
I may not have done the Up Country Suspension in my '00 yet but I do have the sticker. LOL.
I never had an Up Country sticker on the XJ. Maybe they didn't put them on 2001s? I do have the build sheet and the window sticker.
I want to say that you are not the first original owner of a '01, maybe '00 too, that said they had the Up Country
Suspension and no sticker.
Would love to see more shots. Exterior, interior, and underneath.
But there is one thing that I really would like to see some detailed shots of.
Your transfer case skid.
My Jeep did not come with one. I got a factory one and put it on.
I found pictures on the internet but they never really showed what I needed for position to mount.
To this day I don't think I put it on like it should be. Just does not look right to me.
If you could help me out with some detailed shots that would be great.

I did, noresponse. Poo. And to think, that other than the tow hooks, that's the only thing I'm missing to be a true Up Country replica! I have all the replacement suspension under the carport. Gotta finish the Trac-Lok install first

When buying the factory tow hooks very important that you now exactly what they consisted of and that you get at least some of the hardware.
IMO this is the factory set up. Shows all the pieces and most of the hardware.
Some of the ones you will see will have tow hooks with the shorter base.
I believe those shorter base tow hooks to not be correct.
If you can get the bolts that bolt the tow hook to the bracket that would be good. Not the end of the world if you can't.
What hardware that IMO is a must have are those 2 bolts with nuts that you see vertical in the picture above.
Those go in the hole in the bracket farthest away from the tow hook. They are a domed torx.
I feel that cause the front sway bar is there that a regular bolt won't work cause the head of the bolt
will interfere with the sway bar. Even the nut on those are not important. Just the bolt.
The rest of the hardware is not an issue.
One last thing. I believe that tow hook brackets on '96 and down to differ from '97 and up.
How they bolt up and how the bumper attaches to them.
Was never able to confirm this. When I got mine I made it a point to have the seller confirm that
they were actually off a '97 and up just to be on the safe side.
